Renal perfusion improvement in the perioperative period after unilateral endovascular revascularization in patients with atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis

چکیده
Background The clinical benefits of endovascular treatment in renal artery stenosis (RAS) remain controversial. This study used an intraoperative perfusion imaging technique, called flat-panel detector parenchymal blood volume (FD-PBV), to observe the change after RAS. Materials and methods In a prospective, single-center study, we assigned 30 patients with atherosclerotic RAS who underwent between March 2016 2021. preoperative postoperative results perfusion, pressure, function, were compared. Results Both median kidney ( p < 0.001) mean density contrast medium (MDCM) = 0.028) increased significantly treatment. ratio MDCM differed greatly among patients. For <304.0 HU (Subgroup A, 15 cases), 12 (80.0%) had more than 10% increase perfusion. relatively high (MDCM ≥304.0 HU, Subgroup B, similar 0.776). On other hand, serum creatinine levels decreased A 0.033) fewer antihypertensive drugs revascularization 0.041). number B. Conclusions During perioperative period, low greater improvement pressure control function needs be confirmed by long-term follow-up.

Renal artery revascularization improves heart failure control in patients with atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis.
BACKGROUND Renal artery stenosis (RAS) impacts the pathogenesis and control of heart failure (HF) and may further contribute to increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in HF patients. However, the long-term effects of renal artery revascularization on cardiovascular outcomes in HF patients are not well studied. METHODS The prevalence of HF and its effects on all-cause mortality were ...
متن کاملSplit renal function in patients with unilateral atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis—effect of renal angioplasty
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect of percutaneous transluminal renal angioplasty (PTRA) on split renal function (SRF) in patients with unilateral atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis (ARAS). METHODS We performed a retrospective analysis of all consecutively examined patients at our centre with significant ARAS undergoing PTRA during 2002-07. A significant ARAS was defined as a lesion with a t...
متن کاملThe effect of revascularization of renal artery stenosis on renal perfusion in patients with atherosclerotic renovascular disease.
BACKGROUND Only a small fraction of patients with atherosclerotic renovascular disease (ARVD) treated with revascularization have improved renal function after the procedure. It has been suggested that this may be due to effects of renal microvascular disease. Our aim was to measure the effect of renal artery stenosis (RAS) revascularization on renal perfusion in patients with renovascular dise...
متن کاملSplit renal function outcome after renal angioplasty in patients with unilateral renal artery stenosis.
The general use of bilateral rather than separate renal function evaluation has led to the publication of conflicting results concerning the effect of percutaneous transluminal renal angioplasty (PTRA) on renal function, especially in patients with atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate prospectively, in standardized conditions, split renal function (SRF) a...
متن کاملSplint renal function after captopril in unilateral renal artery stenosis.
The renal extraction ratios of 131I-sodium iodohippurate (131I-Hippuran) and 125I-thalamate were greatly reduced on the affected side by 50 mg captopril in seven out of 14 patients with unilateral renal artery stenosis. With long term captopril 150 mg daily the uptake of 99mTc-diethylenetriaminepenta-acetic acid by the affected kidney, which was determined by scintillation camera renography, be...
